Beyond impressive first-crop 2yo winner for Bangkok

Beyond The Bar cruised to a comfortable victory in the Market Cross Jewellers British EBF Restricted Novice Stakes over a mile at Redcar today, showcasing his promise as an exciting prospect for first-season sire Bangkok.

The two-year-old colt has been consistently placed in all three of his starts for trainer Tim Easterby and owner-breeder King Power Racing, who also campaigned his sire Bangkok with great success. During his racing career, Bangkok won or was placed in eight Stakes races, including winning the Gr.2 York Stakes.

Beyond The Bar is the first winner out of Whitefountainfairy (Casamento), who herself was runner-up in the Gr.3 Prestige Stakes at Goodwood as a juvenile.

From a relatively small first crop, Bangkok is already making an impression. In addition to Beyond The Bar, he is also the sire of the highly regarded Rising Empire, a winner and third in the competitive £150,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stakes at Newmarket earlier this month, with career earnings exceeding £42,000.
