Don't miss the first yearlings by Bangkok
Bangkok has his first yearlings selling this year, starting off with Lot 286 at the Tattersalls Somerville Sale on 3rd September consigned by Susie Sands. More are on offer during the autumn sales including Tattersalls October Yearling Sales.
The well-bred and high-class multiple Stakes winner, Bangkok, won or was placed in eight Stakes races with earnings of £630,000 for trainer Andrew Balding and owner King Power Racing. This included the Gr.2 Sky Bet York Stakes over 1m2f at York.
A consistently high-class and tough racehorse, he also won the Gr.3 Classic Trial at Sandown and the Listed Winter Derby Trial Stakes at Lingfield twice, as well as finishing second to dual Gr.1 winner Japan in the Gr.2 King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Bangkok is a half-brother to six Stakes winners or performers including the Gr.2 winning two-year-old and three-year-old The Foxes and Gr.1 winner Matterhorn, plus the dam of Champion older miler, Ribchester. Out of the Darshaan mare Tanaghum, he also hails from the family of Gr.1 winners Elnadim, Occupandiste, Mondialiste and Intello, descending from the legendary Fall Aspen.
Furthermore, he is by Australia, a World Champion three-year-old by Galileo out of the seven-time Gr.1 winner Ouija Board and an exciting young sire of five Gr.1 winners to date.
A 500,000gns yearling when sold at the Tattersalls October Book 1 Sale by breeders Barronstown Stud, he has all the credentials to make an excellent sire.
Purchasers of his yearlings could also be in with a chance of winning the Bangkok Bonus - the breeder and owner of the first 2yo Black-Type winner will receive £10,000 each, and the trainer will receive £5,000.
