Great day for Planteur and Walzertakt with success in two Stakes races

It was a great day for stallions standing at Chapel Stud with Planteur’s son Plantstepsdream winning the Listed Peas And Carrots Mile at Jagersro in Sweden. Plus in France a son of Walzertakt, Klitchko De Belair, finished second in the Listed Prix Bayonnet chase at Auteuil.

Plantstepsdream was adding to his impressive Stakes form having landed the Listed Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Spring Mile at Jagersro earlier this year for trainer Lennart Reuterskiold Jr and owner Stall Deauville KB. He has now won or been placed in eight black-type races.

Klitchko De Belair was only denied a Stakes victory by a short head for trainers Hector de Lageneste & Guillaume Macaire, and owners Ecurie de Maleissye, Grouas & Tilbury Bloodstock. He was bred by Alain Grouas and is out of the Trempolino mare Tragi Comedie. He looks like an exciting prospect for his young sire Walzertakt (pictured right).

Plantstepsdream was bred by Berit Alfredsson, and is another typical consistent and tough son of Planteur (pictured below). He is out of Marie Chez Elle (Footstepsinthesand), whose dam Mirandola’s Dream (Dalakhani) is a half-sister to the Gr.2 Canadian Stakes winner Minakshi (Footstepsinthesand) and Madonna Lily, the dam of the Gr.1 Prix Jean Romanet winner Grand Glory (Olympic Glory).
