Planteur’s flag bearer Trueshan kicks off his 2022 season in style

Dual Gr.1 winner and son of Planteur, Trueshan, won his seasonal debut in style landing the Listed Further Flight Stakes at Nottingham yesterday for trainer Alan King and the Singula Partnership.

2021 Champion Stayer, Trueshan, has now won ten of his 16 starts, six have been Stakes victories including the Gr.1 Prix du Cadran and Gr.1 Goodwood Cup. He looks to have another exciting season ahead.

Bred by Didier Blot, Trueshan is a half-brother to four winners in France, out of a winning daughter of General Holme, and is by far the best performer under the first three dams on his page.

Planteur also enjoyed success with his progeny over jumps yesterday with Gran Diose finishing third in the Gr.3 Prix Journaliste over fences at Compiegne, following up his recent Stakes victory at the same course in March.

Since Planteur’s arrival at Chapel Stud in GB he has been well supported with mares and looks to have a very bright future as a NH stallion. Indeed his owner Simon Davies today purchased the Queen Mother Champion Chase and Arkle heroine Put The Kettle On for £380,000 at the Aintree Sale to send to Planteur this season.
